For example, if you encounter an animal in the wild, and you roll “Canine,” it is then up to you to figure out through the narrative context (or more tables) what kind of canine it would be. ![]() As a design challenge, I’ve attempted to create tables that are comprehensive enough to cover most things in a fantasy setting, but general enough that the player can experience the joy of connecting the imaginitive dots. I have collected my most-used tables and presented them herein.
